We don't like writing terms and conditions, and we know you don't like reading them, but they're here for a reason, and that's to protect both you and Moness Resort.

The terms and conditions detailed below apply to all bookings made with Moness Resort, whether at www.moness.com or by telephone or otherwise. So, make yourself a cup of tea (or coffee) and take the time to read our small print. If you have any questions, please call us on 01887 822108.

Pricing
Our prices will fluctuate depending on availability and demand at any given time. All of our rates include VAT on the current rate at the time of booking and are subject to change without notice. Your price is guaranteed once you have been given a confirmation number.

Promotion and partnership rates will require a promotion code. Additional terms and conditions may apply. Only one discount or special offer can be applied per booking. Once you have made your booking, any offers that subsequently become available cannot be applied to an existing booking.

Booking Information
Call the Moness Resort team on 01887 822105 or book online at www.moness.com. When  you make your booking, you will be asked to guarantee your booking with a valid debit/credit card if booking a Best Available Rate or to prepay if booking an Advance Purchase Rate, partnership or promotional rate.

Advance Purchase Rates
This is our best value rate. To secure your booking we will take full pre-payment when you book. If you cancel or don’t show full charges will apply. This cannot be exchanged for other dates, accommodation, goods or services.

We strongly recommend holiday insurance as this is the only way to get your money back if you cancel. We find that most of the time, cancellations are due to unforeseen circumstances but to be fair to all of our customers, we'll stick to the cancellation terms and charges will apply.

Best Available Rates

Hotel Accommodation
Card details are taken to guarantee your booking and payment will be required upon arrival. You can cancel up to 2 days before arrival without charge. If cancelling 2 days or less before arrival, full charges will apply and will be charged from the card provided at the time of booking.

Self-Catering Accommodation
To secure your booking, we'll need a 25% non-refundable deposit when you book and the remaining balance to be settled 4 weeks prior to your arrival. If you book your stay within the 4-week period, then we will take full payment upfront.

We'll need a credit card to take the deposit from, and we'll charge the same card with the remaining balance automatically (unless you've given us an alternative payment method). If we can't secure either of these payments then we may cancel your booking and you'll forfeit any deposits already paid. If you cancel within 4 weeks or don't show, full charges will apply.

If we need to change your booking

Even if we have given you confirmation, we may still have the right to refuse or change your booking. On the rare occasion that this may happen, we would notify you as soon as possible.

You would then have the choice to accept our changes, change your booking to another hotel, change to an alternative date (although we can't guarantee that the price will be the same, and if it's more then you'll need to make up the difference), or postpone your booking.

In extreme circumstances we may postpone bookings and offer the opportunity to move your booking to a new date.

Moness Resort does not accept any responsibility for any loss or damage which you may suffer arising out of events beyond its control or the control of its suppliers (including, without limitation, fire, failure of electrical, gas or other power supplies, strikes, industrial action, terrorist activity, technical problems with transport, illness of entertainers and bad weather), nor for the curtailment, cancellation or change to any accommodation, activity or itinerary or any other consequences which arise as a result of such events.

Whilst every effort is made to fulfill any requests which you may make in relation to your stay with us, please note that these requests do not form part of our contract and we cannot guarantee that we will be able to meet any requests. Whilst specific rooms/apartments can be requested, these are never guaranteed, and we will allocate accommodation for you based on the operational needs of the business.

Arrival and Departure
So, you can make the most of your stay and charge activities, food and more back to your room, we'll take a £50 pre-authorisation on check in. Don't worry if you don't use it at all, the remaining balance will return to your account within a few days of check out. It's worth bearing in mind that any extra's, including the services you used, activities you took part in or food ate that hasn't yet made it to the bill by check-out may be automatically charged to the same card.

Hotel rooms are available from 3pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 11am on the day of departure.

Leisure Facilities

All leisure facilities advertised at Moness Resort are a complimentary part of your stay and can be withdrawn without notice when deemed essential.

Children under 15 years of age must be accompanied by a responsible adult when using the swimming pool. Children under 15 years of age are not permitted to use the spa bath, sauna or steam room.

If you have had or are suffering from extreme allergies, ill health, a medical condition or pregnant, we advise you to speak to your GP prior to arrival to ensure you can use the leisure and spa facilities, services and treatments. All spa treatments booked are subject to medical status. We reserve the right to refuse treatment(s) if we feel it is not in the best interest of the client.

Children

The apartments at Moness Resort are ideal for family groups. The number of people, including children (age 2+), should not exceed the number stated within the room type chosen. The only exception is for babies aged 1 year or under that are sleeping within a cot. We have a limited number of travel cots which can be supplied, although please arrange this in advance with our team.

In the hotel, a travel cot can be added to a number of our larger bedrooms. Availability of suitable rooms is limited.

Breakfast for children is included in the additional child price paid.

Young people aged 12 and over are charged at full adult price.

Dogs

Well-behaved dogs are welcome, subject to your booking being made in one of our dog-friendly apartments or hotel rooms and paying the appropriate pet supplement charge.

We have a few simple rules relating to pets that we ask you to adhere to:

Please keep all dogs on a lead around the resort. Whilst we appreciate your dogs may be friendly and well trained, not all our apartments are dog-friendly and some of our guets may not be comfortable around animals.

Dogs are not permitted to access other apartments or hotel rooms. If they do, you will be liable for an automatic deep cleaning fee (£250).

Assistance dogs are welcome but please let us know at the time of booking that they will be accompanying you.

When in your accommodation, we request:

  • No more than 2 dogs may occupy any dog-friendly apartment.
  • No dog is to be left unsupervised by you or alone in your accommodation.
  • Please do not allow dogs on furniture or beds.
  • Around the resort, dogs must be kept on a lead.

Hot Tubs

These apartments do not accommodate pets.

Our hot tubs are fully drained, cleaned and refilled with fresh water and appropriate chemicals before each guest arrival. Due to this thorough process, your hot tub may not be ready for use until the morning after you check in.

WIFI

Guests can connect to Moness Public WIFI for free. No password is required. WIFI connectivity within our rural location can be disrupted and we do not take responsibility if the service develops a fault or is unavailable for any reason.

Gift Vouchers and Voucher Prizes

Gift vouchers are vouchers used as competition prizes, unless otherwise specified on the vouchers, are valid for a period of one year from date of issue.

When redeeming a gift voucher, please inform our reservations team upon booking that you wish to use a voucher as payment. Please note, all room reservations require a credit card deposit and a credit card guarantee will be required to secure your booking.

Moness gift vouchers should be presented on check-in, when paying for your meal or when arriving at our spa.

Gift vouchers are not valid for redemption against any reservations made via a 3rd party.

Your Responsibilities

When placing a booking with us at Moness Resort, you agree that you and your party will comply with requests from our team to behave responsibly and appropriately.

As the person, you are responsible for the behaviour of all members of your party whilst at the resort. You are responsible for the safety of all members of your party and as such must notify our Duty Managers of any additional requirements that you may require in the event of an emergency. Any pre-existing medical conditions or mobility issues should also be reported to enable our Duty Managers to properly handle any unforseen circumstances during your stay.

Please make the Duty Manager aware of any breakages or damage caused during your stay. Moness Resort is entitled to charge you for any costs or expenses that incur as a result of any breakages or damage.

You are responsible for the behaviour of all members of your party. Please show consideration to other guests, our staff and location. Noisy, disruptive or inappropriate behaviour, especially after 10pm, may result in us asking you or a member of your party to leave the resort immediately. No refunds or compensation will be given in these instances and we reserve the right to claim compensation for damages or inconvenience caused.

To respect the enjoyment of others, we ask that noise levels are kept to a minimum after 10pm.

Our hotel bedrooms and apartments are all non-smoking. Smoking is also prohibited in our public building spaces. Smoking inside accommodation or indoor public spaces will incur an automatic £250 deep clean charge.
