A trip to the Little Birks
Aberfeldy is home to a wonderful independent cinema called The Birks. Every Saturday, they show a ‘Little Birks’ movie, a family favourite film and at the really reasonable price of £3.50 each. A brilliant place to go with small children, there’s easy access with buggies, highchairs, bottle warming and baby changing facilities as well as a café with a children’s menu to pick up something to eat.

A play in the park
Even with a play park on site at Moness, there are never enough play parks for kids to visit and conquer. Another nearby park is Victoria Park which is a few minutes’ walk from the town centre and one of the most popular public parks in the area. With lots of open spaces, it’s ideal for games, picnics and a game of hide and seek.

It's story timeA few miles south of Aberfeldy is the Beatrix Potter Exhibition & Garden. The famous children’s book author used to go on childhood holidays to Highland Perthshire, so it may be that the inspiration for some of her beloved book characters were inspired in the Perthshire countryside. Little ones can explore the world of Beatrix Potter immersing themselves in a variety of creative activities and playing dress-up . The exhibition is open from 10.00am-4.30pm daily.

The perfect place for wildlife spottingThere’s few bridges in Perthshire more beautiful than the General Wade’s Bridge in Aberfeldy. Built in the 18th Century to create military road across the river Tay, the bridge has five arches and, when walked across, has beautiful views of the river and wildlife below. It’s another idyllic spot to feed the ducks.
