At Moness Resort you can channel your inner explorer and venture out to enjoy an impressive range of trails and summits ideal for all abilities including Perthshire’s highest mountain and longest river. We’ve listed our favourite adventures below including hiking and cycling breaks. Dip your toes in (or entire body) with water-sports just along the Road at Loch Tay or blow those cobwebs away with a stunning Highland cycling holiday.
After all that adventuring you can look forward to a dip in our pool before a well deserved hearty meal and local ale in our onsite bar and restaurant. There are also plenty of local bars and pet friendly pubs in the bustling town of Aberfeldy.
Your base to explore
After a full day of adventuring, you can look forward to a good night’s sleep in your very own cosy cottage or traditional hotel room within our former hunting lodge. There are over 100 cottages dotted across our 35 acre resort including dog friendly cottages, hot tub cottages and larger cottages for those weekends away with friends and family. All your linen, crockery and essentials are provided so you just need to bring any extras along with your sense of adventure.
Included in the price of your stay is full access to our on-site leisure facilites, including swimming pool, sauna and steam room. We also offer a wide range of spa and beauty treatments in our very own PURE Spa.
Local adventures
Off the beaten track
There are plenty of local walks to choose from - our favourite is the Birks of Aberfeldy (3.5km) circular walk packed with woodland, waterfalls and wildlife and right on our doorstep. There are more challenging routes including Schiehallion (9.5km) one of Scotland’s most popular Munro mountains.
Splash out
The Loch Tay Safaris boat tour gives a fascinating insight into the history of the people of Loch Tay in majestic surroundings. Sometimes wetter is better with a whole host of water sports and leisurely boat cruises available on Loch Tay and along the River Tay too. Cycling holidays
There are over 60 local cycling routes to explore around Aberfeldy which can be as flat or as hilly as you can handle. You can see a full list here.
