Resort Information

 

Situated in Perthshire, the resort is close to the pretty village of Aberfeldy and just a stone's throw from the Birk’s of Aberfeldy, a local beauty spot made famous by the Scottish poet Robbie Burns. This central location means the resort is only a 2-hour drive to either Glasgow or Edinburgh and under an hour's drive to Perth.

 

Things to see and do

Moness Country Club is situated in an area abundant with recreational pursuits and just a stones throw from the Birks of Aberfeldy, a local beauty spot made famous by the Scottish poet Rabbie Burns. Why not explore this historic area and visit some of the many local castles open to the public? In the summer enjoy a family day out at one of the traditional local Highland Games.

 

Choose from tennis, shooting, mountain biking, fishing and hill walking, not forgetting the wealth of challenging golf courses nearby. Even in winter the ski slopes are within an hour and a halfs drive.

 

The nearby village of Aberfeldy has a variety of pubs, restaurants and gift shops including a local gallery shop. Dewar’s Whisky Distillery in the village offers daily tours and there is even a local tourist office to help you plan your holiday activities further.

 

Whatever your interests there is something for you, your family and friends in this lovely area. Moness is situated in the middle of Perthshire, which makes travelling for day trips easy and effortless. Several towns and cities are only a drive away.

 

A visit to Pitlochry, Inverness, Edinburgh, Glasgow or Aberdeen can all be done easily from Moness. In Aberfeldy and Perthshire there is more than enough variety to make sure you never run out of ideas for a great holiday.

The Terrace Restaurant

An essential ingredient in your visit to Moness is great food and wine. The Terrace, our onsite restaurant, offers excellent cuisine in contemporary surroundings.

Advance booking is advisable during high season, at weekends and is essential for large groups. Please call the resort direct for restaurant opening times as these vary depending on the season. Call 01887 820446.

 

Chef always takes time to select the best ingredients available locally to construct the menu, which features several dishes with a Scottish flavour.

 

A separate children’s menu is available and children are welcome in the bar and restaurant until 8pm

 

In the fine weather our outdoor terrace is a fantastic place to enjoy a glass of wine in a lovely suntrap.

  How to find us

Moness House and Country Club is situated on the hill to the south of Aberfeldy just off the A826 Crieff Road and six miles from the picturesque village of Kenmore. (map picture).


From Perth follow the A9 North and leave the A9 onto the A827 to Aberfeldy. Once in Aberfeldy, Follow the main road through the village until you reach the crossroad traffic lights.


Take the first left up the hill onto the A826 past the town hall and over the narrow bridge. Once around the corner, Moness is the second left turn.


The closest train station is at Pitlochry.
